AESTHETIC DENTISTRY

A variety of aesthetic dentistry treatments are available to improve your smile:-

Veneers
A veneer is a thin layer of material placed over a tooth, either to improve the aesthetics of a tooth or to protect the tooth's surface from damage. There are two main types of material used to fabricate a veneer: composite and dental porcelain. A composite veneer may be directly placed (built-up in the mouth), or indirectly fabricated by a dental technician in a dental laboratory, and later bonded to the tooth. In contrast, a porcelain veneer may only be indirectly fabricated.Porcelain veneers are more durable and less likely to stain than veneers made of composite. Veneers are an important tool for the cosmetic dentist. A dentist may use one veneer to restore a single tooth that may have been fractured or discolored, or multiple teeth to create a "Hollywood" type of makeover. Veneers are an option for closing gaps or disguising discolored teeth that do not respond well to whitening procedures.

Bonding
Composite bondings can be used to achieve a more aesthetic smile. Chipped and cracked teeth can be restored by composite restorations. Composite restorations can also be used to close up gaps in between the front teeth and reshaping of teeth.

Contouring of gum
Gum contouring, is a procedure used to improve the general look of a person’s teeth. It is primarily used in cases where the individual has what is commonly known as ‘gummy smile’. This is a condition in which the gums cover too much of the teeth, usually the front teeth, and this can leave the length of the teeth looking too short, which can affect a person’s general desire to smile.

Whitening
In Office Teeth whitening: This is a procedure done in the clinic that uses light-activated whitening gels and specially filtered lights. This “in office bleaching” procedure requires only one appointment (which takes about 2 hours). Most people greatly prefer the immediate result and don’t have to deal with the repeated applications of the bleaching process required by take home kit . At our office, we additionally also provide you with the custom bleaching trays (at no extra charge) for future touch up applications if desired. Take home whitening kit: A set of custom bleaching trays and whitening gels are given to be used at home. Take-Home gel is designed to be worn between 30 minutes to an hour per application. The doctor will advise you on how long you should wear each application.
